Privacy policy
Effective 6 November 2026
This policy explains how Escape Works ("we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile apps or this website. It applies to every app we publish.
The short version
- Our apps don't ask you to create an account.
- Our apps don't collect personal information. What you do in them stays on your device.
- Our apps have no ads, analytics or tracking.
- We never sell or rent personal information.
- If you email us, we use your message only to reply and to fix what you reported.
Information we collect
In our apps
Our apps store things like progress and settings on your device so they're there next time. This stays on your device. We don't receive it and can't see it. What each app stores is listed in Details for each app.
When you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to attach, such as a screenshot or your phone model.
Through app stores and other services
Our apps are distributed through Google Play, which collects information under its own privacy policy. See Third-party services.
Children's privacy
Logic Turtle is made for young children. We built it so that a child can play without anyone collecting information about them:
- We do not collect, use or share personal information from children, in any of our apps.
- Our apps for children have no ads, no analytics, no in-app purchases, no chat or sharing, and no links that leave the app.
- They contain no third-party code that collects data, and they don't use the internet.
- Progress and settings are stored on the device, and a parent can delete them at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling it.
Because we collect no personal information from children, there is nothing for us to review, share or delete. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, for example by email, contact us at hello@escape-works.com and we will delete it.
We aim to meet the requirements of laws that protect children's privacy, such as the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the UK and EU GDPR, and of Google Play's Families policy.
Device permissions
Our apps ask only for the permissions their features need, and some need none at all. You can review or withdraw an app's permissions at any time in your phone's settings. The permissions each app uses, and why, are listed in Details for each app.
How we use information
We use the little information we receive to:
- reply to your messages and help you
- find and fix problems and improve our apps
- keep our apps and this website secure and prevent misuse
- meet our legal obligations
Third-party services
Our apps involve these third-party services:
- Google Play: Distributing the apps, installs and updates. Data involved: Information Google collects under its own policy when you use Google Play. Google Play privacy policy
This website
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising. It is hosted by Vercel, which, like any web host, processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. Vercel privacy policy
Keeping and deleting data
Data an app stores on your device stays there until you delete it, by clearing the app's data in your phone's settings or by uninstalling the app. If your phone backs up apps to your Google account, that backup is controlled by you and Google; we never receive it.
We keep support emails for as long as we need them to help you, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you follow up. To ask us to delete them sooner, email hello@escape-works.com.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle. Because our apps keep your data on your device, keeping your phone locked and up to date protects it too. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Parents and guardians have these rights on behalf of their children. To make a request, email hello@escape-works.com. We will respond within the time the law that applies to you requires.
Details for each app
What each app asks for and what it does with data. Everything else in this policy applies to every app.
Logic Turtle (ages 3 to 5)
Permissions: None.
- The game doesn't collect, send or share any information about your child or you. It has no internet access, no account, no ads, no analytics, no crash reporting and no in-app purchases.
- Stars earned, the hat and shell colour chosen, and the sound and voice settings are stored on the device. If the phone backs up apps to your Google account, Android may include them so progress comes back on a new phone; that backup is yours, and we never receive it.
- Spoken words come from the text-to-speech engine already on the phone. The game only asks it to say fixed phrases, like arrow names and words of praise.
- To remove everything the game stored, clear its data in your phone's settings or uninstall it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our apps or the law change. When we do, we'll change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll also say so in the app or on this website.
